Parent and Teachers Association (PTA)

Who We Are – The PTA at St Michael’s Church School

The St Michael’s Church School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a voluntary group of parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff who work together to support our school community. We act as a bridge between families, staff, students, and the wider church community, helping to strengthen relationships and create a sense of belonging.

Our PTA has two main roles:

  • Community building – fostering friendships, connections, and a welcoming school environment.
  • Fundraising – organising events and activities that raise money to improve school facilities and resources for our students.

Membership
Membership is open to all parents, grandparents, and legal guardians of children enrolled at St Michael’s Church School, as well as all teaching and support staff. Most members join by attending our Annual General Meeting in Term 1, but new members can be welcomed at other times during the year by agreement of the committee. Membership ends when your child leaves the school, or when a staff member’s employment finishes.

Getting Involved
Meetings are held each term and are advertised in the school newsletter. They are a space to share ideas, plan events, and have your say in shaping our school community. Everyone is welcome — whether you would like to join the committee, lend a hand at fundraisers, or just come along and connect with other parents.

By joining in, you are not just helping the school —you are also becoming part of a supportive, connected community.
